Here at St Mary's C of E, we thrive to ensure that all children have access to high quality PE and physical activities during curriculum time as well as participating in extra-curricular activities. We appreciate the contribution of PE to the health and well-being of our children and believe it has a positive impact on concentration, attitude and achievement.

What is Sports Premium?

Since 2013-14, the government has been providing funding for schools to provide new and substantial primary school sport funding.  The money goes directly to primary schools to spend on improving the quality of sport and PE for all their children.  Each school receives £8000 plus an extra £5 per pupil each year, the money received can only be spent on sport and PE provision.
