Enabling children to flourish and succeed

Ofsted and Performance Data

We are delighted to share with you the outcomes of our recent Graded Ofsted inspection in April 2025. The inspection team visited our school and conducted a thorough review of our practices, teaching, and overall school environment. I am pleased to report that the findings were overwhelmingly positive, with us achieving Good across all areas.  This is reflective of the hard work and dedication of our staff, pupils, and the entire school community.

Key Highlights from the Ofsted Report:

  1. Quality of Education: The inspectors praised the high quality of education provided at St Mary's. They noted that our curriculum is well-planned and effectively delivered, ensuring that all pupils receive a broad and balanced education.

  2. Leadership and Management: Leadership and management at the school are strong. Staff have high aspirations for all pupils and work hard to broaden their horizons through the curriculum and wider school experiences.

  3. Personal Development, Behaviour, and Welfare: The report highlighted the excellent behaviour and attitudes of our pupils. The inspectors were impressed by the respectful and supportive relationships between staff and pupils, which contribute to a positive learning environment. They also noted the effective measures in place to ensure the safety and well-being of all pupils.

  4. Early Years Provision: Our Early Years provision received high praise for its nurturing and stimulating environment. The inspectors observed that children in the Early Years Foundation Stage are well-supported and make strong progress from their starting points.

We are incredibly proud of these achievements and the recognition from Ofsted.
