Our class page will provide all the information that you will need to know regarding the year 5 curriculum.

Please find detailed below some useful information about our curriculum and school day.

School day timings

Children to line up by 8:45am

School starts at 8:50am

School finishes at 3:20pm

Curriculum

Our curriculum is wide and varied, encompassing daily Maths, Writing and Reading lessons, with weekly French, RE, PE, PSHE, and Music lessons. We also study Science, History, Geography, DT, Art and Computing in unit blocks. You can see the topics we are studying on the curriculum map.

PE days

Our PE days are Wednesday and Thursdays. Please ensure that children bring a labelled PE kit into school on these days for children to change into.

Homework

Homework will be set on a Friday to be handed in the following Wednesday. If you are unsure

Homework will consist of the following:

• Maths or English activity
• Spelling practice 
• Reading of the class text (for the following Friday)
